Here at Aztec Colour Print we are proud to hold a piece of history in our premises, the Heidelberg Cylinder Press! In this blog we discuss how this piece of machinery came about and why we still use it today.

Print has been around since the early 1900’s and has grown ever since, with new technology and marketing ways becoming popular. However, there is one printing press that has stood the test of time and that is the Heidelberg Cylinder Press…

Manufactured between 1923 and 1985, this press is most famous for its windmill-like mechanism and way of printing. Its simple design means that it performs perfectly every time!

Although the technology has aged, it’s still classed as one of the best precision letterpresses to work at volume, which is perfect for our premises!

We pride ourselves in offering our clients the best in the print industry and all of our machines have been picked to do just that. For more information on any of our services, please call 0191 417 8001.
